HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a few people from different countries and met others through the website.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, quite a few experiences: I've hosted a Malaysian couple, a Romanian girl, a Latvian couple ,an American mum and her son, a couple from Argentina... and Séverine in Chicago! I've met other people for a coffee, a chat, a dinner at the restaurant or a movie.

I surfed couches in the USA a couple of years ago and it was definitely a good experience.

- Books: Orwell 1984; Simone de Beauvoir; Kundera; R Gary; B. Vian (J'irai cracher sur vos tombes/ Les morts ont tous la même peau); Nancy Huston; Annie Ernaux (Love it) ; D. Eribon; P. Roth; Elena Ferrante...

- Movies: I'm not too keen on blockbusters, though some are quite good! I prefer indie movies.
The hours, Une jeunesse chinoise; Le premier jour du reste de ta vie; Life is beautiful; Mesrine; , Revolutionary Road (and the book as well) ; Into the Wild; Woody Allen, Ken Loach, La Vie d'Adèle... Too many to list. I often go to the movies...
I enjoyed watching 6 feet under, I was hooked from the first season; even though it's sad and kind of depressing!

- Music: pop rock, indie, alternative, world music, Satie, Chopin , Nyman, Glass

I like going to different performances, fests, shows, concerts... I enjoy to see people having a good time together.

I can teach you some French... I'm learning how to play the piano...
I can share some French wine, cheese or food if you come over. :)

I want to get to know myself more through the acquaintance of other people. It's a life time project! But so exciting!
