About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it's an amazing opportunity to meet great people. I also adore the (tiny) things you learn from each other.
Some memorable CS experiences I would like to highlight
🛋 learning the best way to cut onions with my first ever host in Australia (2019)
🛋 getting taught backgammon by one of Belgium's best players
🛋 staying with Max in Bratislava (just the best vibes and deep conversations until 4am)
🛋 meeting the most good-hearted, kind-spirited and pure human ever in Pamukkale (Sami)
Interests
I love travelling and exploring new countries (crazy thing to write on a travel app, I know). After finishing my co-op study program, I will now be travelling full-time for over 1 year, starting in Europe and going to Asia in September.
3 facts about me:
📷 I always take my camera with me because I love having photos to look back on.
🌱 I've been vegetarian for way over 10 years now. When I'm on my own I'm pretty much vegan, with people/ in restaurants vegetarian is a lot easier haha
🌏 I'm currently working on a travel blog. It's called lostlilia if you want to check it out :D (it's a work in progress though so don't judge)

Music, Movies, and Books
📚 Books: many, but I am a big Harry Potter and The Hunger Games fan; my more recent reads are The Whale at the End of the World, Her Majesty's Royal Coven and Bear Necessity
🎬 Movies/ Shows: most genres apart from horror and pure violence. I don't watch many shows, but I always liked Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and watched Good Omens and Young Royals recently. Arcane (on Netflix) is also amazing!
🎶 Music: mostly pop/ whatever is on my Spotify. I used to listen to Cheer mixes for a good while, they're really high energy which is cool.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling :D
some travel highlights I could list are:
☀️ Doing my PADI Open Water on the Great Barrier Reef
☀️ Sleeping on Preikestolen (Norway) and watching sunset and sunrise from there
☀️ Accidentally falling into the ocean on a Great Ocean Road tour and spending the rest of the day walking around in my Harry Potter pyjama pants
☀️ Hitchhiking from Bucharest to Istanbul and staying at the truck driver's house for 2 nights
Teach, Learn, Share
👩🏫 Teach: About life in Germany (surprise, we don't wear Lederhosen to school), that (and why) Cheerleading is a sport. I could also show you how to make some nice and simple vegetarian dishes.
👩🎓 Learn: I would love to learn about your country/city/culture/(veggie) cuisine. And I'd like to pick up a bit of Spanish if you know some! Always very curious about other points of view on everything in life as well :)
