ABOUT ME

I'm Laurie, I moved in New Caledonia 3 years ago, a french island near Australia. Why ? Because I wanted some changes in my life. I've always loved traveling but I wanted more ; I wanted to change my lifestyle, not just during vacations. I got lucky and found a job there while I was still in France - so I just flew away ! I don't regret it any second. I can't imagine going back to my old life... it gave me the taste of living in another country and I've already planned the "next steps" elsewhere in the world...

While I'm here, I enjoy discovering Pacific : Australia, Vanuatu islands, New Zealand... before I fly away in another corner of the world :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been hosted numerous times : in Munich, Stuttgart, Fribourg, Strasbourg, Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Wien... It has always been incredible experiences and I met fantastic people !

I love discovering a country through the eyes of locals and sharing our way of living, thinking, seeing the world...

Interests

I work in a reeducation center with brain injured patients. I help them recover their brain abilites (memory, attention...).
In my free time, I like practicing dance (ragga dancehall), meeting friends, reading, listening to music, watching movies, sailing (not my boat ahah), diving, going to restaurants (just loooove food)...

I don't really have a kind of music, I listen to pop, rock, rap, rnb, reggaeton, french varietes...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking on the frozen sea in Russia. Sailing among dolphins. Watching wales. Diving with sharks. All kind of roadtrips in Australia and New Zeland....

Well, not much of a teacher... maybe some steps of dancehall ? Some french words of course ! How to make sushis...
