About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Swing on a porch swing in the living room

ABOUT ME

I’m a bit of a strange weirdo. Liberal goodgirl. The kind that starts drinking alcohol at the age of three and stops when everybody else begins. I like my wall orange, myself green, the mood yellow, the thoughts purple, the rain black.

PHILOSOPHY

The prose in the causes does not lessen the poetry in the consequences. I find intriguing the causes and I like to melt into the consequences.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

For urquoise mirrors, pink trust, arriving home into colors I haven't even seen.

Interests

I’m usually interested. Books, movies, theater. I used to act, and still like to seize the opportunities. I like to run, travel, get creative, go on excursions. I like to visit cemeteries of the new places I go to. I like to think up new solutions in the kitchen. A yay for mental masturbation: why, how, how it is, how it could be, how it should be.

Music, Movies & Books

Music: unfortunately I don't really have direct perception for music. But dancin'€™ ska, thinkin'€™ classical, softer rock as a soundtrack, klezmer for surprise, but rarely even electrical, to get wicked on the dance floor. Movies: oh, movies! :-) I like '™em strange, surrealistic, absurd, creative, experimental, moody, philosophical, depressive, when it'€™s impossible to interpret, when you can talk a lot about it. I really like films from the Orient, like for example Samaria (Kim Ki-duk), Lust, Caution (Ang Lee), 2046 (Wong Kar-Wai), Dolls (Takeshi Kitano). Books: The smell of books€, hmmm. :-) There are so many things to do in life, but then so many books to read, so many I'€™d like to. Mostly psychology and literature. For the later there are the musts, like One Hundred Years of Solitude, Master and Margarita, One Flew over the Cuckoo'€™s Nest, but many others like Andrzejewski, Antal Szerb, Stanev, Singer, Malamud, Canetti, Vian. I also just like to buy books, even thought so much waits to be read, when it'™s on sale or I find a good one in a second-hand bookshop, I just can'™t resist.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I saw a huge rabbit in the cemetery of Padova.

What I Can Share With Hosts

I am a good listener, I like to deep dive in conversations. Cooking or helping is of course a basic.
