Overview
About Me
I have a small company creating visuals for people's presentations (yes, people pay for that), which is great, because it lets me work from wherever I find an internet connection. I currently live in Nottingham, saving up to buy a van and convert it into a full-time camper. I enjoy roadtripping, hanging out in the park on a sunny day, getting away for weekend trips, going to theatre shows, or playing music with people who don't mind that I can't actually play.
PHILOSOPHY
Experiences over things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I was an avid AFSer* from age 16, I got used to travelling and seeing the world through the eyes of local people, and always enjoyed hosting random travellers in my house too. Couchsurfing is kind of an extension of that for me. Plus, go sharing economy! :)
*AFS is an international exchange student organisation ran by volunteers. As an exchange student you can spend a year abroad with a host family (which I did in Portugal in 2007), then you can start volunteering back home, which means you organise and run camps for the new students, and you also get to go on international trainings and meetups. It has a huge volunteer network globally and basically it always functioned like a little insider Couchsurfing even before Couchsurfing existed, hosting random AFSers that someone you know once met somewhere...
Interests
I like slow photography, singing loud in the car, baking cakes or just hanging out with good people. I LOVE the old town of every city, seeing into the past of a place and admire its people, culture and architecture. I can also talk a fair bit about world politics and philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Aerobatics: flying upside down in an open top plane from the second world war, over the hills of Sonoma, California at sunset. It also just happened by chance, without planning, which made it even cooler.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you all about Prezi, quite a lot about Hungary and Budapest, the basic four chords for the ukulele, and a bunch of useless fun facts. Did you know for example that heart attacks are more likely to happen on Mondays?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I was told my pancakes are ace.
