WHERE I'M FROM

An ukrainian girl, been living in Portugal for 13 years (4 in the awesome Madeira Island and 9 in the very cool Lisbon). I love my original country for it's inspiring history, lovely sights, strong people and most beautiful language, but my heart also fancies the fascinating Portugal.

WHAT I AM DOING NOW

I finished school a year ago (specialized in Marketing, PR & Advertising) and have been trying to get some acting jobs (not easy, especially in Portugal), currently i'm in a theater company preparing our Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard and mostly spending my time working and relaxing a little bit from school just to get experience for when I finally go to college.

MY WAY OF LIFE

I'm inspired by nature and the most simple side of life. I would love to see the world and to get acquainted with all the different cultures, religions, languages and people.

Even though I'm an atheist I accept and am very curious about all the religions and beliefs. I welcome every single person that comes into my life, no matter what, as long as they are true to themselves.

I still have a lot to learn and that's my personal goal: to learn as much as I can while i'm here.

I'm on couchsurfing because I want to do exciting things with my life and meeting cool people in countries I've never been to before seems to me just like the perfect thing to do. I don't have any experience in this and I haven't traveled that much, but I'm eager to get started.

MUSIC

I listen to everything actually, so it's hard to state exactly what's my favorite song, artist or band, but I really like Pink Floyd, Arctic Monkeys, Gogol Bordello and Lana Del Rey.

MOVIES

I love watching movies, it's actually something that me and my boyfriend do pretty much everytime we are together. My ultimate favorite movies ougth to be Spirited Away, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Fight Club, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Memories of Murder, The Tree of Life, Blue is the Warmest Color, It's Such a Beautiful Day and In The Mood for Love.

TV SHOWS

Couldn't pass on one of my favorite things to do, watching good tv shows. At the moment I'm watching: The Sopranos, Battlestar Galactica, Orange is the New Black and Game of Thrones. I have a long list of TV shows that I love, so here it goes: The Wire, Lost, The Leftovers, Breaking Bad, Fargo, The Office (both UK and US), Community, Rick and Morty, Friends, Black Mirror, IT Crowd, BoJack Horseman, Misfits and How I Met Your Mother.

BOOKS

I'm proud of saying that I read quite a bit and I love doing it. I'm currently reading The Idiot by Dostoevsky. My favorite books are 1984 and Animal Farm both from George Orwell, Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo, Waiting for Godot (play) by Samuel Becket and The Chronicles of Narnia (the series).
