After 5 years working in engineering, I couldn't tolerate another moment indoors. In early 2016 I walked outside, and kept walking. Since then I've divided my time between wilderness backpacking the western USA, commercial fishing in Alaska, teaching experiential outdoor ed., and playing with science - out of curiosity and delight instead of obligation. Life is good.
