One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Alaska and overheard two women next to me say they were sad their friend was sick and was going to miss the bus tour. I asked if they had an extra ticket they were willing to offer, and they said yes. I got on the bus thinking it would just be a loop back around, but we ended up at a dock and they told us to put on life vests! I had no idea we were going to get on a boat. Then, I thought the boat was just going to do a loop back to the dock, but we ended up at a remote island with a rainforest where we did a guided tour and had snacks and drinks offered to us. It was an incredible experience that pleasantly surprised me at every step of the way. I never would have experienced it if I didn't take a chance by asking the two women next to me if they'd allow me to join them on the bus tour.
