About Me
Hey there!
I'm a student from in Berlin which is where I've been living all of my live so far, except from two student exchanges - one where I spent three months in France in 2015 and then one where I went to Poland for five months in 2018. Those were two really formative experiences for me when it came to learning about how to take in and adapt to different cultures and their people.
I'm currently in my last year of school and figuring out what to do and see after but I'm certain it will include a lot of travel... :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I spent this past summer travelling around eastern Europe with my friends and got the chance to meet some great people through Couchsurfing - that made me want to register for my own Couchsurfing profile as soon as we got back. Since we used my friend's account on the trip I don't have the references of the people we stayed with on here though.
Interests
Even though I don't speak that many languages myself yet I'm quite the nerd for linguistics, so prepare yourself for some weirdly specific questions about your mother tongue.
- politics
- languages
- film
- queerfeminism
- history and culture
Music, Movies, and Books
Some films I really enjoyed are the documentary "first comes love" and the movie "stand by me". My absolutely least favorite film in the whole entire world is the documentary "expedition happiness" - I do recommend to hate-watch it though!
As for music, I'm not much of an expert but I mostly listen to some of that hipstery indie stuff like Kate Nash and The Wombats.
Though I mostly read novels, when travelling I can also get very passionate about my guidebooks. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have not missed a single year of the Berlin international film festival since I was born and even got the chance to be in both the children's and youth jury, which meant spending ten days straight watching three to four films from all over the world each day before deciding on which films to give awards to. If you come to Berlin in February make sure to check out the Berlinale!
