ABOUT ME

I think, I am an open-minded, social, philanthropic, passionate, sometimes suprising (even myself) adventuresome, active, often smiling and - happy!- woman. I did a lot of travelling with my daughters, since they were babies and found that the children opended more doors, than a key would have and they turned out to be adventous, brave, social, intelligent and honest girls, who love travelling themselves!
But the very important aspect of my travelling is: I love to come home again! Embrace friends, family, and the animals, put into reality all those great ideas and inspirations, I brought home and may be host you?

Just starting ambitiously, but missing time to read and learn...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Up to now I have only hosted several people, which each time was a really nice experience, but my daughters couch surved and were lucky to find nice hosts as well. I started hosting people, because I felt, if I received other people warmly, honest and open-minded, my daughters would experience the same friendliness on their trips around. As it turned out to be far more, than just providing a bed, warm shower and s.th. to eat, I finally want to try myself - so this is it!

Interests

I'm rather the outdoor-type, live with a cat, a giant schnauzer and a pony in an antique little farmhouse in the center a beautiful small village.

Music, Movies, and Books

films - not too much: Everything is illuminated, Volver, Night on Earth, Mazepa, Die Bettwurst...
but I love books, among my favourite authors T.C.Boyle, Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Jonathan Safran Foer, Stefen Fry, Sándor Márai, Arundhati Roy, Pascal Mercier, Gabriel García Márquez, Laura Esquivel, Yann Martel,....
music: very widely spread, not really fond of techno and I dislike most country music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

uncountably experiences, breathtaking moments, feelings, smells, pictures, incredibly nice people I met during lots of great travelling but above all my wonderful daughters + and each smile I share with them!
