My mission is to travel to 30 countries by 30 and/or to travel to every continent...yes even you Antartica! (I have actually reached my 30 before 30 list! Now working on my continents...4 down 3 to go!)

ABOUT ME

Hola! I'm Kimberly but my friends call me Kimmie. I spent the last year 2016-2017 backpacking around South America after living in rural South Korea for four years. Now I'm back in Korea living in Busan working as a professor in a pretty nice university. I love traveling but I also love teaching. In total I've been in South Korea over 4 years. August 2018 will be my 5th year anniversary. Anyway sort of addicted to traveling and try to get away whenever I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted in the past in my old town. I haven't had the chance to host yet here in my new home but I am excited to host in the future.

I do not host male couchsurfers. It's nothing personal I just don't feel comfortable hosting men. I live in an apartment that is also a hotel and it would not look very good for me as a professor to have different guys coming and going from my place. But if I have the free time I can meet up and show you around for the day!

I love traveling, music, reading, running, hiking, God and food. I love being outdoors and conquering a mountain...although I may complain about it but I never regret it!

My favorite movies are: Life is Beautiful, 50 First Dates, The Breakfast Club and pretty much anything with a penguin in it.

I love all types of music! You will always catch me listening to music when I first wakeup in the morning, shower, or pretty much anytime that I get the chance. I love all types of music but I'm mostly into reggaeton, rock en español, alternative, indie, rock, R&B, and actually pretty much anything with a good beat.

I enjoy a good read but I must admit it's been a while since a book has caught my attention. Some books I really enjoy are: And Then There Were None & The Perks of Being a Wallflower (in my defense I read it yeaaaars before the movie...which actually wasn't bad).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I packed up after four years of living abroad and traveled mostly solo around South America for 8 months. It was an amazing experience and actually my first time traveling for such a long amount of time alone. I enjoyed every moment even when things went wrong. It was the exact push I needed to get out of my comfort zone and to practice my Spanish. Which now is pretty darn bueno.

Everyone has a talent or a gift right? I don't really know what I can teach you but I am pretty fun to be around so I promise I'll be good company. I love learning new things and about new cultures. Anything and everything interest me and I'm super open minded to new things. Also I promise to take you to eat yummy Korean food! Also I speak Spanish so if you want to practice with me I can help you with that. My Korean isn't amazing but I know enough that I can help you get around.
