Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling from France to China by land, taking trains, buses, and hitchhiking. During the two months and a half during which I'll be on the road, I'm hoping to stay at locals' places to make some new encounters. I love the idea of discovering new places through other people's eyes, having long conversations with strangers, sharing thoughts, cultures, and life experiences.

I created my Couchsurfing profile a few years ago after hearing about it from a friend, but October of this year is the first time I'm actually using it. I haven't been able to host for the past few years because I was either staying in dorms as a student, or flatsharing. But I know that one day, I want to be able to host to give back to the CS community.

*Couchsurfing is not Tinder to me. I'm in a relationship and I won't accept anything else than friendly interactions with my hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books

One movie I recently watched is In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-wai. I loved it! As for books, I have too many that I liked to pick one. But I can say that I grew up reading fantasy books - maybe that's what gave me this taste for adventure! I love different kinds of music, from rock to Chinese pop. I also like to write songs!
