ABOUT ME

Well, first thing people seem to notice I am not very tall and I have my face pierced. Also, I have red hair.

I grew up in a small town in northern California and lived in California most of my life. I moved to NYC in 2008 and lived here for 2 years before taking a sabbatical to spend a year in Europe. I've recently returned to Brooklyn and am super excited to show people the city.

I love to meet new people and make new friends, but I tend to be fairly awkward without a drink in my hand. I love to make things and read books. I usually read about 3 new books a week. I seem to have been failing at this since I have been in Europe.

I spent a year in Europe and met some many great couchsurfers. Now that I am back in NYC, I'm hoping to meet some more great people as a host. If I can't host, I can still give you some places to check out in NYC.

I slept on people's couches/floors/beds almost every weekend for a year.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I have never owned a TV, but despite that I manage to watch huge amounts of TV. I don't watch a lot of movies, because I don't have much of an attention span, but I love to read. Some good books I have read recently include: Little Bee by Chris Cleave, Playing with the Grown-ups by Sophie Dahl and Dumbfounded by Matt Rothschild. I also love the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy, Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia serieses.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I'm pretty good at knitting, cooking and most crafts. I've tried to teach my sister to knit, but it didn't work too well.. I've got some pretty crazy HTML and graphic design skills. Apparently, I am very good at gluten free cooking, too. I really like to cook and learn new recipes. If you have something to teach me, I have something to teach you.
