Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to travel around the UK while doing some busking, performing with puppets. I'd like to find some places to stay, find musicians to perform with and find locals to hang out with !

I believe in using the internet to find community and belonging in this big big world and couch surfing is a great way to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I like dancing around to 60s girl groups like The Shirelles. When i'm drawing or making I like nice lo-fi bands like Merce Lemon. But my favourites ever are Beirut and Belle & Sebastian.

Movies - I love animation, my favourite is Persepolis. Neat for interesting political context, cool female character and beautiful visuals. I really like more whimsical surreal stuff, Gondry's Mood Indigo is great for the bigemoi dance scene. I am very happy if I get to go to the cinema in the afternoon, I don't mind what I'm watching.

Books - A friend lent me The Master and Margarita by Bulgakov and I was so lost and giddy the whole time I spent reading it, so that must be a favourite. I love Miranda July and Haruki Murakami. I really love it when people introduce me to their favourite books. Lend me something!
