About Me

We are a couple in our 30's. We work quite a lot during the week days so we are available for our guests mostly during the weekends.
We have two dogs (not small ones), so guests that do not feel comfortable with dogs' presence, probably won't feel comfortable.... 'cause they are present :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is our favorite. We did it quite a lot in the past, but unfortunately, we can't do it all the time. So at least we get to meet other travelers from different countries and share experiences.
We think that getting to see a new place through the eyes of the people who live there is the best way to travel. So we offer that opportunity to our guests, and hope to get that opportunity back, some day.

Interests

I love traveling and meeting new interesting people, hiking, rock climbing, diving, sailing, experiencing new things.

I love animals (not in zoos), especially dogs.

I devoted my whole adult life to science, learning and teaching. So I guess you could say it's one of my biggest interests.

I enjoy learning new things, I hope I will never stop that.

We go to music shows at least once a week, there is big indie music scene in Tel Aviv. Our taste is quite eclectic :)

Food is always on my mind. I love good food. I think food is a great part of the local culture. I love experiencing local cuisine whether it's in a home-cooked meal or in a restaurant. I cook not too bad by myself, I think :)
But I also love cooking with others, so if you can cook I would love to share my kitchen and to learn from you.

My life partner, Oren, shares 95% percent of my interests with me, so doing all those things together is extra fun :)

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many... don't wan't to restrict myself.

In Music, when it's good, you know it.
It can be ethnic or metal or any other type, as long as it's good.

I guess that the same goes with movies, the exact genre doesn't matter, as long as I go out with a feeling of some added value.

Regarding books, I prefer books that take me to a journey, to a different time, place, books that make me see things from another perspective. I like writers who have some sarcasm and criticism in their point of view.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel around the world for a year...It's more like one thousand amazing things. Hopefully, that will happen again someday.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always happy to do all of those. Not sure which one more...
I think that this is the essence of traveling.
We are experienced in traveling around Israel, which can be quite useful. And as residents of Tel Aviv we can recommend good places to eat and good music shows.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think we can hold a conversation on various topics, which might be interesting :)
I can cook, and would be happy to do it
