Hi citizen of the world ! Hey guys!

My name is Aurélie.

For me, the best experience when you are looking for discovering a new country is spending time with locals and travelers, not through guidebooks.

I travel with my backpack with a purpose : I am chasing worldwide positive initiatives in terms of ecology, zero waste, and all the inspiring people who decided to fight environmental + social contemporary issues for making a difference. I will always advocate « positive journalism » :).

As I’m fascinated by vegetal world, mountains and forests , I take a high interest in everything related to nature : botany paired with nutrition and natural beauty care, traditional medicine, permaculture and eco-construction. And of course hiking! I believe that every people of the world belongs to a big family. We have to build bridges between us and not digging a gap. I believe that the change starts locally and from us.

When I arrive in a new place, my first reflex is to looking for the best (veggies) restaurants and fresh juices/coffee houses to get a lot of energy! Then I spend hours to find little gems for photography, the best hikes around and places off the beaten track where I can meet easily locals.

I dream about becoming a filmmaker/photographer like Yann Arthus Bertrand who captures breathtaking landscapes and populations all over the world.

About me : I'm cheerful, loyal, quiet and trustworthy. Quiet doesn’t mean boring, I just prefer looking at stars in the sky or the sunset with a hot chocolate and chatting with people than partying all the night hehe! A geek side (my job!), I love tea/real coffee/cakeeees!

I'm a yogi beginner, I like extreme sports like skydiving, ziplining, and I can stay in a rollercoaster during hours. You'll never see me bored on a trampoline or at the rink :)

I can’t wait to know more about you and your culture. I hope to live a mutual enrichment, memorable experiences and perhaps create the beginning of a friendship :)).

* The wilderness of the Yukon Territory, Canada (close to Alaska) where I lived 7 months.
* Jumped paragliding over the lake in the city of Annecy, in Haute-Savoie, an amazing region in France.
* Hiked the Canadian Rockies
