I am Colombian and living in USA for twenty something years. My 4 children are all grown up and I have 4 beautiful grandchildren. I got married a year ago, and now I feel that I have the perfect company, my husband who is from Costa Rica, to live one of my dreams which is to travel, to have new adventures and to meet new friends. We love learning about different cultures, trying new foods, knowing new places, and talking about politics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My husband and I want to travel everywhere, whenever is possible and get to know people from around the world. I am here to do this possible and even though I knew about it long ago I have never tried it because I was a little cautious but since my son started using it I realized that this is an awesome way to go to unimaginable places.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music but my favorite is definitely Latin music. I like foreign movies. And books, I have read many. I like real stories, and also biographies, politics, and social justice. My favorite authors are Gabriel Garcia Marquez (One hundred years of solitude), and Isabel Allende (Island beneath the sea). I like Jody Picoult also. And one of my favorites books is The Giver, which I have read many times. My husband likes rock, and he's not very interested in books but he is in all kinds of movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was amazing for me to have been elected as a New Hampshire State Representative by the people. I would have never thought that I could accomplish that but I did it and I feel very proud of that. Besides that, there are many other amazing things that I have done in my life and that many more that I hope I can do. Albert says the greatest thing he's ever done is to move to USA.

I can share all the beautiful things about Colombia, its delicious food and its culture. My husband can share his stories about Costa Rica. And we can learn about yours.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can show you around town. We live in the heart of the town surrounded by high quality restaurants, and bars. We are also less than an hour from New York City by train or bus. We can share a nice meal together, I´ll cook, and have an interesting conversation accompanied with some wine.
