About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've started writing and now I cannot stop.

ABOUT ME

Mum of two girls - 4 and 8 years old. Fiction writer - focused on emotions & nature. Just as passionate as my husband about travelling. And nature. Down-to-earth. Expressive. Benevolant. Obstinate. ... Absentminded (I almost forgot this one! )

PHILOSOPHY

Give everything you can to children. They will give it back to you, a thousand times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I simply participate by joining groups discussions, trying to catch up tips and advices, staying open-minded.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting is always a pleasure. Like travelling without leaving home. Writers and people passionate about the field are very welcome to make writing a less solitary task.

We also love travelling as guests. Our latest couchsurfing experience was in England. Dazzling. Mesmerizing. We would like to keep on couchsurfing for ever. It seems all CS are open-minded, friendly and welcoming. The only problem is to say goodbye - which, with children along, can actually turn quite difficult.

Interests

Books have always been a passion. Now I also write. I get up at five to write - it's a safe time-zone for a mother. I've attended a bootcamp in Stratford-upon-Avon and another online. I'm on Inkitt and Youwriteon to share about writing and learn from other learning pens.

Children are my second interest and my primary job: I'm a teacher. I spend hours creating attractive learning activities. Montessori is my main source of inspiration. I also spend a lot of time with my extended family and my friends. Socialising in anyway we can - at the library, at the zoo, through outdoors activities and of course travelling - is very important to a good education.

I also like cooking, even if I don't always like the result ;) Marie is intolerant to cow's milk; hopefully I have quickly discovered that this is very easily bypassed using simple, fresh products as we often do (there is no milk in veggies, fruit, nuts, oil, meat, fish, eggs and last but not least, cooking chocolate - pheww!)

Family life is as much important for hubby and I. Patrick loves spending time with Marie and Thaïs, playing crazy, going to the park or grabbing a sledge and heading for the nearest mountain slope in winter.

What Marie and Thaïs love best - among all plays and games - is collecting whatever is handy and making something with it. Like eating mudcakes in a stick and moss castle for a princess wedding, while singing made-up songs and drumming on anything handy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books, books, books. Mostly true to life stories. This applies to films as well.
We love good music too, any good music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moments that left me awstruck:
When my daughters were born, of course! Both were born at home, the first one by accident, the second planned. Such powerful, engulfing and revealing moments!

When Thaïs, 3 years old, went up and down a 7 miles treck in the National Park of Conemara, Ireland.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach, learn, share. That's my life really.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share time. During this time together we can share meals. During these meals we can discuss writing, kids, local activities, amazing experiences (like CS ones), the weather, travelling, traditional recipes, gardening or where we are going next.
Of course we can also offer a simple family couch.

Countries I’ve Visited
