Hi, I am Yu-Tyan, an Erasmus Student studying in Sciences Po Paris for the academic year 2017-2018. I was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. I had lived a year in San Francisco, California when I was 13. International Relation and Law is my major back in my home university. I am a curious, optimistic, adventurous and easygoing young woman who is eager to learn more about life and world.

*Just to be clear, I am not in Paris anymore, the only reason I didn't change my location back to "Taipei, Taiwan" is that Couchsurfing force to add "Province of China" after the name of my home country. Not apologize for the inconveniences so cause, folks! But thanks for your understanding.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I was first exciting to come to Europe and have travelled as many place as I can. But I soon realized the house, the churches and museums are looking more or less beautifully same in everywhere in Europe. So think it's time to make some change the way I travel to seek for the true happiness during my year-long grand tour. When I was doing volunteer work back in a small fisher village in Penghu, Taiwan, in 2016 summer, I realized how much I enjoy getting to know people from different upbringing and listen to their life stories.

I grow up reading the tales of Harry Potter, Narnia, Arsène Lupin, The song of Ice and Fire and many other western fantasy novels. I also love detective and love stories. I like music from The Beatles, Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Imagine Dragon, Coldplay, Sam Smith and many many more English Singers. In terms of musical, I am fond of The Lion King and The Phantom of the Opera. For movies, I like pretty much most of them, but 3 idiots(2009), About Time(2013), Your Name(2016) ,Coco(2017) are the movies truly touch me. And I also fond of TV series including House, M.D.(2004-2012), Fringe(2008-2013), and of course, SHERLOCK!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In January 2018, I went on a hitchhiking trip, from Paris, France all the way to Tirina, Albania:-)
With: 29 French and 1 Canadian,
Taking rides from: 45 drivers with 12 nationalities,
Visiting: 7 countries and 12 cities,
For: 15 days and approximately 3450 kilometers.

In August 2018, I jumped down from 3, 5, 7, 10, and 13 meter high waterfalls in Cebu.
