About Me
Hello, I'm Miyoung (Lina) — a friendly woman from South Korea with husband, son, and daughter.
For much of my life, I wasn’t sure what I truly liked or what direction I should follow.
I lived trying to meet others’ expectations, chasing what looked like “success” from the outside.
But recently, I started working again — and something shifted.
I’m slowly breaking free from the need for approval, and learning to listen to my own voice.
I'm now in the process of discovering what really matters to me.
One of the most beautiful dreams I had was to travel the world with my daughter.
When I first joined Couchsurfing, I wrote:
“I want to travel the world with my daughter within two years.”
2024
---------‐
At the time, it felt like a faraway dream.
But I believed in small steps, kind people, and meaningful connections.
And now — just one year later —
That dream is coming true.
This journey is not about ticking off places on a map, but about slowing down, meeting people, and growing together.
I hope to share this journey with those who are also open to connection and curiosity.
2025 — Our Upcoming Route
We’ll begin our mother-daughter journey Sept 1 – Oct 20, 2025:
Malaysia: Penang (4 days) → Kuala Lumpur (2 days)
India (~1 month): New Delhi, Agra, Rajasthan (Jaipur/Jaisalmer with a camel-safari), Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh (quiet mountain stays)
Türkiye (~2 weeks): İstanbul, Cappadocia, Antalya, İzmir
We travel slowly, love calm, kid-friendly places (nature, libraries, local history), and hope to meet hosts who enjoy meaningful conversation and simple routines. We’re clean, respectful, and happy to help with small chores. If our dates align with yours, we’d love to connect!
Warm wishes,
Lina ∧ Daughter
