Overview
About Me
4th year medical student in Sechenov university in Moscow. My dream job is becoming head and neck surgeon. Originally I am from Republic of Bashkortostan. Currently I am an exchange student in the United States for summer semester.
I am Bashkir, that is minor ethnicity in Russia. We have our own language, which is part of the Turkic language family - similar in roots to languages like Turkish or Kazakh. Actually, my first language is Bashkir, I learnt Russian only when I was 5. Culturally, Bashkirs are known for hospitality, strong family values, and deep connections to nature, especially the mountains and steppes of our homeland. Many Bashkirs are working to keep their language and culture alive, especially younger generations.I really want bashkir culture to thrive and get as many people around the world as possible to know about us.
I love hiking, long walks, and reading detective stories and russian classic literature. I moved from my hometown alone when I was 15, so I like to consider myself to be independant and reliable. So, my life motto is: "Никогда и ничего не просите! Никогда и ничего, и в особенности у тех, кто сильнее вас. Сами предложат и сами все дадут!"

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good conversations, a positive attitude, and a deep curiosity about the world. I love learning about other cultures and am happy to share stories about life in Russia and my Bashkir background. I can also cook a traditional dish (or at least try my best!). Still your "chak-chak" in my backpack is waiting to be eaten!! I’m tidy, respectful, and always try to be a considerate guest. If you have time, I’d be excited to explore the city together-or if not, I’m equally happy doing my own thing and just sharing a little time when it works for you!
