ABOUT ME

My life was not that smooth, so was my personality. I always worried about everything, especially money, and that made things worse and negative. Living with so many worries and being skeptical were not pleasant at all. As a result I suffered, kept killing my inner-self, and hurt others, too. Yes, I was that kind of person who was never satisfied with and always blaming, complaining of what I have. But recently, amazing thing happened. I met unbelievably nice people when I was traveling Spain. They woke me up and gave a new life. They changed me as Egypt changed my future, and made me realized how lucky I am, how blessed I am, and how wonderful my life is. Thanks to them, now I am sure that I'm 100% different person with whom what I was only few weeks ago. Now I'm thanking to everything, thinking in a positive way, trying to be happy all the time, but most importantly, trying so hard to be 'a good luck' to everyone. I liked travelling alone because there would be no one who disturb my plan. But now I prefer wandering alone because, then I can get more chances to meet other amazing, beautiful, and fabulous people like those who I met but didn't appreciate enough during my life. And you, would be that amazing person who can change my life again - in a very great way -. PHILOSOPHY

I wanted to live like today will be the last day, but I realized today, could be the first day of the rest of my life. So I try hard to make everyday as a start. And I'm quite happy to do that. And I always remember, that this moment would never come back. I want to make every moment very special, but I know it makes me only tired and disappointed. So I try to enjoy now, as much as I can. I don't dislike 'regret'. Regret makes us think back of our life and gives us a chance to do that 'again'. We can't avoid regret because it's a essential part of human being and it is the very factor that improve our life. We learn from it, we get a motivation from it. I decided to make regret as my teacher, unless I can live without it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed in many places.I cannot host people in my house, but if there is any chance, I want to give an opportunity to people to think and see the world in different angle, just like my hosts did to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not all of them were perfect, but they are impressive enough to change the way I see the world! Most great thing about this is, that I can see, go, and be in some places that I could never do as a tourist. So even if bad things happen, I don't want to stop surfing couches, and hopefully no bad things happen anymore:)

Interests

I love cooking and I think I'm pretty good at it, but I need various ingredients and groceries! it could take ages for me to cook, and the result might not look good because I'm not a food designer. But I'm telling you, taste will be awesome. I sing. I just, sing. Singing makes me happy. I used to be in a band as a singer - but I doubt I'm a good one, and I love all kinds of music so I sing all kinds of songs if I know the lyrics! But unfortunately I can't play any instrument. It would be great if you play and I sing beside you ;) Sometimes I love parties, going out, clubbing or something but not that often. Usually I do those kinds of things only special occasion(like when I feel like I want to and I'm sure that I wouldn't be tired of dancing) and this would be very rare. But if I'm with with you, who like parties, I might be feel I want to enjoy the night with you and you don't want to miss it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I literally love all kinds of music. In terms of classic, I love Chopin, Liszt, and Mozart. I'm also into Linkin park, Muse and Avril Lavigne. Recently I have songs from 'Glee' in my playlist. Since I'm a Korean girl, I can definitely tell you about Korean pop music, which is dominating many Asian countries. Plus, based on my personal experience of being in a band, I can introduce interesting Korean bands. And I like some Japanese artists, we can talk about them if so do you. I usually watch fantasy, action movies, but don't fancy romantic comedy. I try to catch up every Johnny Depp's movies, even if it's a romantic comedy!! And specially I like movies ofGuillermo Del Toro, Nakamura Tetsuya, and Jiwun Kim. If you wish to explore new world by simplest acts listening or watching, I am willing to guide you into my culture. I usually read fantasy novels or factions, but recently I have had to be buried in piles of thick, difficult, interesting but stressful major books. Still I love reading as much as I love studying. But I don't like all kinds of 'self-improvement' books as they can't convince me at all, and I don't think those kinds of things are 'real' books. Rather, feelings and imaginations that I can get from 'Harry Porter' or 'The Lord of the Rings' inspire me more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was travelling Spain, I remembered wrong reservation number for the train going Barcelona from Madrid. I realized the number was wrong 10 minutes before departure, so I had no idea what I should do. There was no computer or something that I can check my mail, so I just hopped on the train WITHOUT ticket.
Thanks to god, I met an angel who helped me for 2 hours to check the right number via her mobile. Even though I can't speak Spanish fluently and she was not English speaker, she just saved my life by doing everything that she could. She made my travel possible and I won't forget about this for whole my life, which reminds me how lucky and blessed I am.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love languages. I just love. And history, philosophy. So I want to meet people who can talk about those themes all night long! I want to hear stories which are so unique that it would be barely shared, but even if you don't have those stories, that's fine because I will tell you mine:)
(So I hope you don't mind to hear somewhat serious stories because I'm a bit serious, philosophical so I could be boring)
And I so love cooking! If we can cook together then it would be more happier!
