Hi! My name is Linda, and together with my boyfriend Thom I am currently traveling through South East Asia. We started traveling in the beginning of May 2018 and will probably be in Asia till at least the end of this year. Our plan for what we will do (and where we will go) after Asia is still open.

We've been planning on going traveling for a few years already and at the beginning of this year we quit our jobs to make our dream come true! We started our journey in Russia and went with the Trans Mongolia Express by train through Mongolia, all the way to China. After that we continued our traveling in Indonesia and Malaysia, and we will soon be heading to Cambodia. One of the things we enjoy most about traveling, is getting to know how other cultures live and getting to try so many different types of amazing food.

We have not had our first couchsurfing experience yet but are really looking forward to be staying with a local and share stories and experiences. We're both very easygoing and social people :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As we really enjoy getting to know other cultures and to have contact with locals to share stories and experiences, we would really like to stay with someone who can show us the good places and share information about his or her lifestyle, and help us find the best food in town!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When we were in China, we hiked the Chinese wall for two days. We were on really quiet places and at night we put up our tent on top of the wall to sleep right there. Being able to do this was really amazing and something to never forget!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories about our traveling so far, but also the fact that Thom and me are both very happy people makes that we can share our happiness with our host so that we can have an amazing time together. Besides this, Thom is an excellent cook and he can make you a typical Dutch meal, so you can learn something about our country as well!
