Overview
About Me
Hello! I’m Linda, I was born in the UK and grew up here but my parents are Dutch and Belgian, so I also speak fluent Dutch. I love to travel and meet new people! That's one of the reasons I decided to teach English as a foreign language online - to be able to meet people from all over the world and learn about different cultures, even when I am not travelling.
I also have a love for food (both making it and eating it!) and photography; I've combined those passions and turned them into a career as a food photographer. I like to learn about and taste traditional foods from different countries, it opens my mind in the kitchen!
Having studied psychology and neuroscience at uni, I am fascinated by the brain. I like to try to understand how it works, how humans behave and what influences us.
And of course I like to read, listen to podcasts, stay fit and healthy - the typical things that people are into :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend (Caleb - link to his profile here https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/scaleb) and I have a dream to travel the world together and work on the road, so we're putting it into action!
We love to meet local people living in each country that we visit, and Couchsurfing is a great way to do that. We hope to meet like-minded people, learn from them and maybe even make some friends on the way :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2016 I quit my 9-5 office job in the science/tech industry to travel in South East Asia. On that trip I met my boyfriend, discovered my passions and basically changed my life! Now I am working as a photographer, teaching English to people all over the world and exploring the planet!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hope to share laughter and experiences with my hosts! Whether over a coffee and learning about the place we are in and people we are with, or during a walk in the neighbourhood discovering the new surroundings.
I am a good cook and enjoy spending time in the kitchen, so I'd be happy to prepare a meal for us to share together. If you have a camera, Caleb and I can show you some tips on how to get the most out of it, whether for photography of shooting videos! Or if you are interested in psychology, we can have a conversation about how the brain works and what makes people behave the way they do!
