About Me

Guess what, after 3 years being calm at one place, 2015 is going to be my partner and my year to travel.... So far we have been to Perth and India, and there is still a lot to come. So we might not be home a lot (especially in April), but if we are, you are welcome to stay....

Though please do not be upset if we do not reply immediately - as we are on the road ourselfs a lot too. Especially last minute requests are hard for us to accommodate - your best bet is to email about 2-3 weeks in advance. Thanks for your understanding!

Travel the world, then host and let the world come to me! :-)

Hey, so what is to know about me?! I like, no wait, I looooove travelling and seeing different cultures! No wonder, with my weird background I must love it ;-) I was born and raised in Switzerland and my dad is Swiss and my mum is British. Though the rest of my family is culturally totally mixed as well, which is fun!

After my education in Switzerland I left to go abroad and lived 4 years in Ireland, where I started with my studies and worked in several jobs. After that I lived with friends in China and where I did my best to teach English to Chinese teenagers and travelled China for totally 6 months. My plan after that was to travel "the long way around the world" back home to Switzerland. But as always, plans do not always follow through as you have planned them to.... I got stuck with a job, a boyfriend and a house in Melbourne and will settle here for a while - just until the travel bug comes and bites me again.

I would consider myself as clean, open minded, easy going, creative, optimistic with realistic tendencies, sometimes a little bit shy - but not introverted at all (does that make any sense?). Though that is enough talking for now... if there is any request, just ask! :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge movie and music buff... Listen to any kind of music, and love films (but am too scared of horror movies) ;-)

I like a good novel, though I prefer to read non-fiction books (like travel guides, book about photography, etc).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I accidentally saw the Dalai Lama at the Airport in New Deli... I literally bumped into him and his bodyguards. What are the chances - China is trying to find him for years, and on my first visit to India I see him! :-p
