*24.07.2010 in honor of the city's 720th anniversary, create the world's longest flower carpet and achieve the Guinness record. The meter-wide flower carpet is spread over a length of 1,665.93 meters.

*08. 04. 2017 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Latvian state, a new Guinness world record was set in Ventspils "The fastest and most people plant onion flowers at the same time", the largest planting of snowdrops in the world .
