Overview
About Me
I am a single-again retiree with a love of travel who has recently been active as a house sitter. I have re-located from Brisbane, Australia, where I lived for 35 years, to Melbourne Australia, where my son lives. I am an introvert by nature but not shy, and I love intelligent conversation. My goal over the past year has been to walk at least 10,000 steps per day and I will soon reach my first anniversary of reaching that goal daily.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I follow a page on Facebook called "Solo In Style: Women Over 50 Travelling Solo & Loving It!" and one woman commented how much she loved Couchsurfing. I had joined the group many years ago when my friend was a host but I had never used the site for accommodation. To me, the chance to meet interesting people in varied locations is the main drawcard.
Interests
Most of my interests are self-explanatory but, with cooking, it is not cookbook recipes but creating something nice out of what is on hand. Lots of vegetarian, some vegan.
