About Me

Oof, what to say!

I'm a chaplain and work at a SDA University in Southern California. My job, a dream, is to connect students to local and global humanitarian entities to volunteer for a day up to a year.

I'm Bengali...country next to India, but was born in the states.

I'm an introvert...shocking because of my job, but alas, it's true. Given a large crowd or a few friends...I choose the smaller gathering. :)

As much as I love the outdoors I'd rather stay in and get to know people over a cup of coffee or hot chocolate on a comfy couch. :)

I'm a workaholic so I don't often get away, but when I do a few things are sure to happen: sleep (a lot of it!), random drives to see the local sites, an adventurous moment to try something new (a food, local festival, etc.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a number of friends that have had great experiences with this. I love the meeting new people part.

So, I want to try it out!

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh dear...I'm not a really big music person. I'm find with Pandora but phased out of the "I need to download that song" mode. Yet, let's see...Oldies, classical, country, Christian.

Rom-Coms. Historical pieces. And military movies (right, so random!)

My favorite genre of books are Christian Roms and WWII fighter pilot stories (again, so random, I know!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've swum with jellyfish in Jelly Fish Lake on the island of Palau.

Teach, Learn, Share

What? Haha :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel stories. A helping hand.

I'd probably be one to be gone during the day exploring, but I'd be around in the evenings for laughs :)
