ABOUT ME

I'm eclectic and inconsistent.... an environmentalist and vegetarian with leather furniture and a gas-guzzling 400HP 2006 GTO - at least until it died on me last year and I replaced it with a (sigh) Subaru. I've been described by the local Chamber of Commerce President as a social liberal but fiscal conservative and that definitely fits. He's also called me the "classic entrepreneur", which also fits... I live and breathe business start-ups, while also volunteering for and working in the social services field.

Interests

.... my husband (we're "newlyweds" since 2008 - we married 40 years to the day after we first met, a fact we only learned the day before the wedding); my daughter & her fiance (who live 3,000 miles away) and our 3 rescue dogs are primary. Working, learning, traveling (US and international; I want to get to Finland someday, where my family is from); cooking/eating (love almost any kinds); reading (non-fiction or science fiction), gardening (no time, sigh), art (museums, buying); mental health & gender/relationship studies; local politics; business, fostering dogs for rescue organizations, volunteering for arts, community and municipal organizations; trying new beers; music (blues, Broadway, Cole Porter - my husband is a great keyboardist)....
