I have a car! I cannot host since I am a guest myself staying with various family since the Covid crisis hit. But I may be able to help you with transportation and getting from one couch to another!

A little more about me .... I am Lindsay. I am known for getting excited about the small details of life. This translates to me being mostly a very cheery person who is detail oriented and sometimes particular. I love making things beautiful by way of art, writing, and organizing. I am a visual learner and it shows in how I express myself. I love conversations and stories about thoughts and emotions and the ever constant "growing up" that we do throughout our lifetime.

Recently I ended a job working in the National Park Service. It was a seasonal gig and I spent the majority of it in the deep backcountry woods. Upon leaving the woods, I took a trip into the city and my backpack was promptly stolen. My backpack contained everything I needed to live and travel for the next few months: tent, sleeping bag, rain gear, medications, passport, documents, journal, my favorite stuffed animal travel companion ... you get the idea. I have never felt such a material loss. Which actually makes me a pretty lucky person for not having to experience something like this before. In the aftermath of the theft, I felt lost and foggy. But also SO VERY cared for. Friends and new friends-of-friends hosted me for more nights and checked up on me to see how I was doing. A woman on public transit found my passport, found me online, and met me at a station to return it to me. My aunt who I hadn't seen in years picked me up from the train and hosted me in her tiny living room for a week while I ordered new glasses and contacts and had them mailed to her. Again and again I was reminded of the immense kindness of people and the simple loveliness of being welcomed into a safe space.

Okay. Music. Hmm. I grew up listening to Bob Marley, Michael Franti, and Jack Johnson in my aunt's kitchen and I LOVE those happy listening vibes while cooking up good food.

Every year I watch You've Got Mail (starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks) with my mom at least once.

I like to read books! I love learning new vocabulary (though I must admit, I'm not great at remembering all my new words) and I love pondering different philosophies, concepts, histories, and ideas.

I am a happy follower. If you are interested in an adventure, I am likely up for it! I enjoy cooking and baking for others but am still very much a beginner! For this I can also offer to trade off and do the dishes.
