Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
To see all the birds of the world, and to dance as much as possible
ABOUT ME
Just moved to NYC to start my residency in emergency medicine at Mount Sinai.
I love good conversation and spontaneous adventure. My favorite activities are dancing, cooking, eating, bird-watching and anything that involves being out in nature.
I am a relaxed and open-minded person, the only things that really upset me are prejudice and violence. I love meeting new people and learning about different ways of living, which is why I think couchsurfing is so awesome!
PHILOSOPHY
I try to enjoy every moment of life with honesty, intention and kindness.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
While on my surgery rotation, I saw more than a few crazy things. Seeing and touching the insides of a living person is a strange and wonderful experience. My most memorable moment came while a patient had their chest cracked open to remove their cancer-ridden esophagus. Their heart went into an abnormal rhythm, and while the anesthesia team prepared the equipment to shock the patient, the surgeon reached in and lightly touched the quivering heart. The rhythm returned to normal without the brute force of an electrical shock. This happened three more times during the surgery, for a total of 4 life-saving light touches from the surgeon's hands to the patient's heart.

I can teach you about medicine and healthy living, birds (I'm most familiar with those in the midwestern United States, but I'm expanding my repertoire). I love to cook, maybe we can exchange recipes? I can also help you practice English or Spanish, and am hoping to find help improving my Mandarin and Italian.
