About Me

I am a Return Peace Corps volunteer that wants to travel the world but not in the conventional way. I like to see the inner workings of a place and not just the touristic areas. I want to taste the food, drink the local drinks, meet the people and just see what I can see. I lived in Honduras for 2.5 years and loved every minute of it. I became a teacher to have the ability to travel during the months off or just pack up and move to a new country and teach. I am drama free, non crazy and love to sit at home and relax, listen to live music or go party.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to test these unfamiliar waters because I am a teacher and we are known for our HUGE paychecks. I would rather travel and meet new people and that can be difficult if you are alone, like I normally travel and held up in a hotel.

Interests

I love to well TRAVEL and I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, listen to live music, meet new people and cultures and just LIVE. I love the outdoors and have recently moved to Tegucigalpa, Honduras to work as a kinder teacher at an amazing international school.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have not been reading as much as I did in Peace Corps and there are too many movies to name.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived with no electricity in a biological reserve in Honduras for 2 years. I went vegitarian because truthfully I could not kill the animals to eat them. I can make a mean home made tortilla, I built the first middle school in the El Chile mountain and I can produce my own coffee (cut, de pulp, ferment, mill, toast and DRINK).

Teach, Learn, Share

I am currently a kindergarten teacher at a great international school and well it is my job to teach, learn and share everyday with my students.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my stories, my love of life, cook, clean and provide what is needed to be a good guest.

El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, United States
