Superficially: People always notice my arms, because I used to be a gymnast

Less Superficially: I'm super-social, loyal, adventurous, independent, and like intense conversations. I'm confident, ambitious, and slightly disorganized :)

Interests

I love physical activity (running, hiking) and I do a lot of reading. I like to keep up on current events especially in Latin America and Africa. (My brother spends a lot of time in the Sudan for his job)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my second trip to Peru I woke up at 4 am to climb Whynu Piccu (it's the black mountain you see in the back of the photos of Machu Picchu). I'd waited years for this trip and I woke up to the sound of pouring rain on the tin roof (yes, it made me think of that Edwin McCain song.) I waited in the rain for hours, got to the top of Machu Picchu and waited another few hours before they'd let anyone ascend the higher peak. There's a long story to how I got to the top and who I met there. When we crested the top and looked down on Machu Picchu, it took my breath away.
