About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a foodie definitely. I love to travel and meet new people and I find that most people bond over food and trying new things. I studied hospitality in the US and I've just finished my masters program in Ireland continuing with a PhD. My focus is on cultural acceptance in the workplace but my first love will always be culinary. One day I'll open a cute cafe that offers a menu from my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people from all over the world. I think it's fascinating and fun to meet new people and experience things from their home or to show them the hidden treasures of mine.
It's a totally different experience than going to a hotel or hostel when you stay in someone's home. Whenever I've been abroad I've had the opportunity to stay with friends and see the way a typical family lives. And I've always been amazed at how easily they can accept an almost perfect stranger into their home like a member of the family.
I have been able to do this as well when I've had exchange students stay with me in my home for holidays or long weekends. It's so much fun and we often share recipes and cultural differences that make for an interesting conversation in the kitchen and around the dinner table.

Interests

TRAVELING - Anytime I get the chance for a road trip or going abroad I take it! Hiking, cooking, eating, baking, dancing and having a good time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Marvel movies and action - actually about the only movies I can't watch are horror.
I enjoy historical fiction books and period dramas. It's a fun way to lose yourself and get away from the present time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying in Seoul and just living in the heart of the city! I love S. Korea and hope to work there in the (near) future.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can cook or bake together and go out downtown to experience our city life. I've come to love Limerick and would be happy to explore the area together and show what I know or give recommendations about places nearby.

What I Can Share with Hosts

currently I'm completing my PhD in Ireland. I live with 2 flatmates in house near campus. We can cook together or explore town if my school/work schedule works out for your visit. During the week is hard for me to spend much time with my guests but we would be able to chat or have dinner together in the evenings :)
There's always something new to see or experience an area differently. I can't wait to share what I love about Ireland and other places I've traveled.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Honduras, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Macao, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan

Countries I’ve Lived In
