To live wild and raw and in tune with the natural world...to share with the world my gift of connecting with the magic of life! I am becoming a Forest Therapy Guide to help people come into touch with their senses and the healing gifts of the earth.

ABOUT ME

I am a deep feeling, forever smiling, quietly observing free spirit who craves movement and opportunities for exploration. I am extremely playful and adventurous, and my day is not complete until I have climbed a tree! I don't wear shoes, ever...unless there is a chance of thistles or cacti.
Most of my friends are either kids or fire spinning hippies, but I greatly enjoy encounters with everyone. At all times there is a throbbing in my feet calling me to move, to explore new spaces and discover new depths of myself within these places...therefore I will never turn down an adventure, especially if it involves nature. It thrills me to get to share my love for the earth with those around me!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't hold to beliefs, and how I see existence is constantly shifting and expanding. All who enter my life are mirrors of myself, and all experiences provide lessons I can integrate as deeply as I chose to. It comes down to perspective :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Backpacking and smooth sailing don't go together the same way two peas and a pod do...but Couchsurfing hosts sure help the process! I give deep thanks for each and every host I encountered (and continue to encounter as I travel) while backpacking, whether I found them through Couchsurfing or by universal orchestration out in the world. Without the help of these souls so kind as to welcome a wanderer into their home, exploring the world (especially on a budget!) would be less magical and more daunting.

Couchsurfing is where we meet one another as we are in the world, where we can share of our joy and culture in a way that impacts one another through all the years that come.
I love the experience of encountering people and learning their stories, living adventures together and building bonds that last through sharing both beauty and challenges. I do hope and intend someday to have a sweet spot of my own to share with travellers, when my wandering soul is content to rest long enough for me to settle in somewhere.

Interests

I spend the majority of my time in the forest - hiking, exploring, camping, stargazing, hot springing, adventuring, playing with kids, swimming in lakes, rivers, and waterfalls, and simply being...I love to play, to smile, and to live.
I have a special passion for creating delicious raw vegan cuisine, and if ingredients are available, am ecstatic to make meals and treats for my hosts and friends. I love to share my creations, there is great joy in nourishing people's bodies and souls ^_^

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Singing inside a cave in Belize in a canoe in the pitch dark.

Watching the sun rise over Pololu Valley in Hawaii on New Year's Day 2015 , with three amazing women who became some of my best friends.

The kids I nanny came to a music festival with me and we stood together in a crowd singing along to Nahko Bear as he performed.

Waking up on a beach in Kona at sunrise to see whales jumping close to shore. They looked so happy and free.

Running full speed bare foot through the forest with my dogs during a lightening and thunder storm that was right over our heads. We got caught in it while hiking, and I laughed in exhileration as we ran through the trees to cover!

On my birthday in Costa Rica, my best friend took me for a hike through a sparkling river, downstream to the top of an enormous waterfall. We were enveloped in the melodies of a thousand birds, watched a jungle snake disappear into the bushes, and played with little polywogs. We sat on a rock at the edge of the sheer cliff, and I leaned back over it to let the wind play with my hair, as I let my laugh bubble up to the endless blue sky above us.

I let a little girl show me how to let go, to see in a new way. She showed me how to float down a little stream I have passed by countless times, to be carried along without fear of where I'm going.

I sang inside an empty pyramid on a full moon night.

Deep inside my heart I've got this
