Overview
About Me
I've always been a free spirit, however only started to wander around the world in the last year starting with Eastern Europe. Before that, it was traveling around the United States. There are so many places to go, adventures to have, and people to meet.
I love learning new cultures and am working on learning new languages.
I have a love for learning, singing, dancing. Not much of a drinker, but when I do, it's whiskey or scotch.. The good stuff.
Currently, I own and run a small business. Even though it is considered a "small business", it comes with a lot of high conflict. So I am making it a point to get to a different continent at least twice a year to disconnect and have fun.
I'm clean, respectful, have a bit of a dirty/dark sense of humor and can relate to most people. I feel that laughter is healing for the soul. So I try to do it as often as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am curious about different cultures. I want to be able to meet people that are in the area that I go to, maybe having them take me to THEIR watering hole and stomping grounds. Maybe not be so much of a tourist and more of a visiting friend.
It wouldn't hurt to have someone translate for me and make fun of my rough 2nd language so I can laugh with them.
Interests
Animals, nature, horseback riding, great music, good books
Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music. The music I listen to is contingent on the mood I'm in.
Movies? Most anything that will make me laugh. And come on... I am a woman, so a sucker for romantic comedies..
Books, thrillers... Dean Koontz, Jim Butcher, Lee Child.. I'm not much for the typical romance novels...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In my travels, I would say that at the current moment, Europe tops the list for me. I don't think I could ever get enough of the knowledge that can be gained there.
In my US travels, Yellowstone. Staying on a 3000 acre ranch and horseback riding through the mountains to round up some cattle. There is a specific peace that can be found laying in the grass, surrounded by nothing but wilderness and the sky.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughter, respect, fun... Just good company.. Maybe some down home US country cooking.. You know... the southern kind that will provide a few pounds during the winter.
