About Me

CURRENT MISSION

bike-swim-run-play-eat-love

ABOUT ME

I'm interested in loads of things, food being my #1. I love cooking, canning, gardening, pickling, baking, eating, reading cookbooks... I became a dietitian while nutritious food became my life.

I used to work for Public Radio, I had a great gig doing a late-night Jazz & Blues Program a few nights a week. Also, I frequently yearn for my previous home on Minnesota's North Shore. Lake Superior really is a powerful place. I lived in Australia for a bit, which I also truly miss.

I would say my political ideology could be categorized most accurately as "anarcho-collectivist." I'm a devoted feminist and anti-racist.

I'm married to a wonderful person whose name is Trevor. We often travel together.

PHILOSOPHY

With a little cognitive dissonance, anything is possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

TV: Dr Who, Call the Midwife

Music: I was a late-night Jazz DJ at a public radio station. That being said, I love all sorts of hip hop, jazz, blues, classic rock (the shit your dad listens to), house, "world music," old sad country, and funk.

Books: Anything by Jim Harrison or Eve Ensler, The Catcher in the Rye, 100 Years of Solitude, The Old Man and the Sea, The God of Small Things, The River Swimmer, Cook Books - Especially the Herb Farm Cookbook, 660 Curries, anything written about food by Deborah Madison or Diana Henry

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
