About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do all the things I dreamt of doing when I was working and sitting behind a desk.

ABOUT ME

My husband is a retired surgeon. Since retiring 2 years ago we have traveled a great deal. Mostly in USA.
I was born and raised in NY. My husband was born and raised in Puerto Rico and has lived in PA since medical school. We have been in the FL Keys for the last 12 years.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. Leave behing only air bubbles and take only pictures ... while in the water and on land. When traveling I appreciate the differences and do not want to go someplace that is just like home. My favorite past trip: Egypt.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CS Project. I hope to connect with people around the world. I may not use someone's couch but hope to meet as many people as I can and accept their recommendations for their area of knowledge.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with a family in Germany during the summers of my teenage years. My sisters and I visited a few summers with my mother's childhood friend when I was in elementry school.
As a retired adult I live in a condo community in Florida where most owners have another home. During our cross country car trips we have connected and stayed with our neighbors / friends in their "other" homes.

Interests

Boating, scuba, snorkel, snow skiing, reading, listening to audiobooks while doing mindless tasks, computer surfing, ... least favorite = gym and exercise but I do it anyway.

Music, Movies, and Books

From Broadway musicals and plays to psychological thrillers, Pillars of the Earth and World World Without End, are my most recent favorite books read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have started at entry level 3 times in my life and ended up at Director level in the pharmaceutical research project management field.
Once because of career change, once because of downsizing and finally because I followed by heart.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: how to move a project along from beginning to end. How to avoid pit falls. How to stay on time.
Learn:
Share: What is Pharmaceutical Research all about. This is a topic that can last many a meal.
