A college student, adventurer, learner, searcher

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in connectedness, beauty, mystery, and ultimately love. Sharing words, food, music, and stories with people is what makes life interesting and meaningful for me. I also think that spending time in the natural world is vital to truly living, and is something I try to honor in my life daily. Traveling and taking time away from school has helped me detach from concepts of success and achievement that seem to govern the lives of so many people. I believe in doing things that feel life-giving and will allow me to be a source of joy to others. I have faith that in the end, everything will all work out, and that it will be the people you know and the love you share that will actually matter.

I am a new couch surfer, so I can't wait to surf as well as eventually host after I have a few visits under my belt.

I enjoy so many times of music - from the funky beats of the B52s and the Jackson 5 to Ingrid Michaelson's pop-y tunes and the twang of Red Molly. I am always psyched to explore music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending five months teaching in Tanzania was probably my most life changing experience. Learning about other ways of living, respect for values very different than my own, and how to take delight in the smallest of things helped me realize that joy can be found and made anywhere.

I always love sharing my select few culinary skills - good coffee, and stove top popcorn!
