About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To suck the marrow of life!
ABOUT ME
I smile a lot, I'm very sociable and interested in meeting new people. I have travelled a lot and lived in different countries, so I realize what culture shock can mean for a traveller - and I like to ease the transition is possible.
I'm a medical resident, working and learning in the local university hospital, and so I've sought a house where I can relax and unwind from all my tension. I think it's just the place, tucked away in the Cretan countryside, with views on the mountains and the sea, a true cozy heaven for my financial means! Generally I lead a quiet life, with many intellectual pursuits, trying to have some fun along the way. I like playing my guitar and singing away, cycling, trekking, aikido, huge political discussions, relaxing and petting my cat while reading my book, and last spring enjoyed planting a vegetable garden!
There is a lot more to say, but you know, no digital description I could whip up right now would be quite up to the task, so I'd rather leave the rest pleasantly shrouded in a fog of mystery.
PHILOSOPHY
I think a lot about philosophy, I am an atheist with metaphysical wanderings, politically an anarchist, morally a libertarian, socially a radical. My personality is rather balanced, optimistic and extroverted.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh, this is the part where we list our impressive experiences? There are some scenes from my past life that stick to me, like a night in Hal-en-Halil, Cairo, smelling the market and immersing myself in the sound of the muezzin, or Petra, Jordan in the early spring morning, or the Mekong under thin rain, Prague under a snowy mantle, New York City sweating and boiling in the summer, a delicate evening in the savannah. I have assisted in cesarean sections Tanzanian forest hospitals, currently I'm performing brain surgery on a weekly basis, but still, the most formidable trips I've had have been inside my own mind...
Teach, Learn, Share
I always enjoy teaching First Aid to lay people.
