About Me

Growing up in Asia, I have many restricts and "rules" to follow. I've never known what I could do besides study. But somewhere in my personality, I decided to fight for what I've taught the life is supposed to be, so I started traveling.

I love to challenge myself so I've done a lot of exciting activities, my friends think I am very brave. I know it's not about how brave I am, but who I want to be.

I constantly push myself out of my comfort zone as much as possible. My favorite quote is from Marie Curie "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood."

You can know me more from my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/confronturself
I write it in Chinese and sometimes in English due to most of the audiences' preference.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and meeting people. The most amazing part of being a backpacker is to hear and share the stories together. It is also the best way to understand the background, culture, and the people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am into indie, rock, country, rap, classic, and so on, basically I love all kinds of music. My favorite movie would be Inception. And my favorite books are My Sister's Keeper and Kite Runner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I've rode on the world's most dangerous road, aka Death Road, in Bolivia. It's unpaved it lasts 62km long. You could die if you don't pay attention while riding it.

- I've done sky diving in Guam, paragliding in Taiwan, and zip-lining in Peru.

- I've planned a 10-day trip from Connecticut, USA all the way to the south point, Key West, Florida, USA. Along this trip I've visited Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennnavinia.

- Aside from the trip, I've also visited all the east coast of the US expect Maine, Texas, Colorado, and California.

- My first backpacker experience was in South Korea. It was a 8-day trip and I've experienced Seoul, Busan, and Gyeongju.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the culture experience, especially Asian culture.

- I've visited many cities in China for work in 2013 and 2014. One time I had to visit 16 cities within 11 provinces in a month! I saw the culture difference between north and south Chinese and it is really interesting to see how diverted a country could be.
