ABOUT ME

Well, I live in an incredibly small studio apartment in the heart of Boston (near Fenway Park) with my boyfriend Tyler. We've been together since high school back in Florida and have been rather attached since. :]

Tyler is a musician (an incredible musician) and to put it broadly, I'm in the health care field. I'm licensed as a practical nurse, but its hard to find work for new graduate PNs in Boston, so I'm finding work in entry-level healthcare jobs at the moment, which is perfectly alright with me for now.

We can't host anyone quite yet because of the aforementioned tiny room we live in, but for now I'd like to feel out the hosting community by welcoming people to my city with a smile and a hug, and maybe a long conversation in my local coffee shop.

We're looking to start hosting as soon as we get a bigger place, but that may not before another year. And as far as surfing, we hope to plan a large couch surfing trip in a couple of years.. we just don't have the means or the money or the ability to leave quite yet.

But anyways.. We are a happy, friendly, silly couple of people and can't wait to meet you.

PHILOSOPHY

The obvious interconnectedness of the world is what makes me so excited to be alive. Let us teach, learn, dance, sing, and hug.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couchsurfed yet, but I heard about this site through my brother, who surfed through all of Europe on wonderful sounding couches and I'm itching to be a part of it.

I once watched a man pass away. He wasn't killed or anything, he was in a comfortable bed in hospice.. But it was amazing.. I actually watched the light leave his eyes and his chest stop rising, its even more breathtaking than birth.. which I've also had the privilege of witnessing.

I know plenty about health and wellness, and I know how to make jewelry from beads! I'd like to know how to weave hemp though.. Tyler's a fantastic musician and an even better teacher.

I can also do a mean hair wrap (its super easy) and I know a bit about photography and draw fairly well.

I'm a good cook and like improvising with available ingredients and I love learning new dishes (though I'm a gluten free vegetarian, so sometimes the options of new dishes are slim).

I'd also like to work on my Spanish and Dutch, because my knowledge of them is rudimentary at best.
