ABOUT ME

I live in Rome where I was born and where I study Japanese and its culture. Before university I studied in a school for tourism. I always loved Japan, mostly because of anime during my childhood. In 2009 I went to Tokyo for 6 weeks in a school for foreign students. That was my best experience and I hope to return next year, after my graduation.
I like to be with my friends but also spending time by myself, with my books, films, music, etc.
For 3 years I've been a vegetarian, my personal choice.
In addition to Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Himeji) I visited Edinburgh and Fort William, Paros and Mykonos in Greece, Amsterdam, Madrid and Toledo, Malta(where I often go) and obviously in many cities in my country.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live with my parents and brother so I can't give hospitality. But I'd be glad to share the highlights of my beautiful city with new interesting people, especially from Japan so as to improve my language skills and enrich my knowledge.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love to read books and watch movies. For this reason I translate subtitles to Italian for a website of asian movies. My favorites are classic Japanese movies by Kurosawa, Mizoguchi, Naruse, Kobayashi, etc. However I like modern directors like Tarantino, Lars Von Trier, Park-chan Wook and so on.
I inherited my musical background from my older brother, so I grew up with Metallica, Iron Maiden, Offspring, Deep Purple and stuff like that. Later I developed my own musical taste with punk: that was my first love. Now I appreciate Janis Joplin and blues, rock, some Italian singer who really plays guitar and writes lyrics. In short, my musical tastes are open as long as isn't commercial music, with preference for punk hardcore and thrash metal.
