Overview
About Me
Hi fellow couchsurfers, I'm a travel writer and editor who joined in June 2015. I'm on here hoping to build on my travel expeditions and hopefully meet some great people in the process. I am a Spanish speaker (upper intermediate), but not yet fluent, hence not listing it above.
Guys, please note my profession: I can spot a 'copy and paste' job from a mile away, so any messages/requests beginning "Hi/hello" followed by no mention of my name will not get a reply! Also, I can only host ONE person, so if I receive requests for two, I will know you haven't fully read my profile ;-) I do tend to travel frequently for work, and requests for 1-2 nights on the weekend work better for me.
We should all respect Couchsurfing as a platform that offers travelers the opportunity to share experiences, and spend time with local people, as opposed to simply needing a place to crash for a few days. So far, I have been blessed with amazing experiences and I hope to continue collecting more of these on my next travels.
Thank you for reading :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I just love sleeping on sofas (providing they're clean, and filled with pillows and blankets!) I kid of course. I consider myself a well-traveled person, and would like to connect with like-minded, and open-minded, locals.
Interests
Travel (obviously), writing, reading, foreign films, documentaries, literature, photography, food and good red wine (Rioja/Malbec/Pinot Noir).

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: anything by Almodóvar; The Lives of Others, Bombón: El Perro, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Intouchables, Drive, Amores Perros, Black Book. Music: I appreciate most genres of music, but I particularly like Jack Savoretti, Bob Dylan, James Bay, Ray LaMontagne, Otis Redding, Mumford & Sons, Lori Meyers, Birdy, Lana del Rey and Electro Latino (haha). Depending on my mood, I also love old school RnB and hip hop. Books - An absolutely endless list from classic to contemporary titles (my brain is hurting from thinking about which ones have most impacted upon me). Huge fan of Game of Thrones ("winter is coming") and The Walking Dead :D
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I do amazing things - albeit small things - every day. Helping out at an orphanage in northern Thailand was pretty amazing. Nothing more satisfying than watching children happily occupied with the cardboard boxes we brought gifts in, than the actual contents themselves!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my many travel experiences, and through that, hopefully teach someone something new, and learn something new myself in the process.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My upbeat nature, cheery smile and hopefully one or three interesting travel tales.
