Über mich
Hey, I'm Lisa, 24 years old and a bachelor student at the University of Bayreuth.
I love travelling and wish to work abroad after studies.
My dream destinations are Japan, Morocco, India, Cuba, and, since my childhood already, Sierra Leone.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I like meeting new people and prefer staying with locals who can give insider tips to staying at a hotel.
I'd also love to host people in Bayreuth to show them around but unfortunately my room is tiny. Your mattress would be right in front of my bed and then the path through my would be rather blocked. I already hosted a friend I made while exploring Dresden though, so it is still possible. If not hosting, I'll also be willing to show you around or hang out :)
If anyone ever wants to spend some nights in a village in rural Westphalia, you're welcome in my room at my parent's place though :D
PS: I don't have any new reviews because at my last few trips I was always welcomed by friends or relatives of my friends (plus I stayed 4 days in a hotel with a pool. Haven't done that since I was a kid)

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Books:
Now that I'm in university, I don't find so much time and energy to read novels, but I remember I really liked "Night Train to Lisbon" and "Animal Farm". Additionally, popular books like Eragon, Happy Potter, The Mortal Instruments... And I enjoy reading books written by Terry Pratchett!
Currently I'm reading "A long way gone. Memoirs of a Boy Soldier" by Ishmael Beah.
In general I like fantasy and history novels or books about current issues/dynamics.
Plus, I'm a big fan of the Latin language, especially letters from Seneca, and from time to time I enjoy reading some of the works of Goethe, Edgar Allen Poe etc.
My music preferences range all the way from Afrobeat and Dancehall over Reggae and Rock to Symphonic Metal. For dancing and chill out I prefer Reggaeton , but my favourite bands are Rise Against, Skillet and Die Toten Hosen.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Travelling East Africa after A Level. It was the first time for me to be outside Europe and to travel alone. All I can say is that I really enjoyed it and I've learnt a lot!
Visiting Senegal and The Gambia last year. It was so nice because I actually got to meet family and childhood friends of my friends who migrated from there. Also in Senegal I was really forced to practice my French. And I was soo happy to see the ocean again!
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I can share recipes with you, or just the food I've made, we can exchange stories and I'll be happy to teach you some words in different languages and learn new words from you too :)
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
Guess the same as learn and share 😁
