I love reading, dancing, and rock climbing, among other things. I love great conversation and humanity and living life with as much courage as possible. I majored in geology in college (and then by the time I got to my thesis, I realized I didn't want to work in either the oil industry or academia), and then I moved back to Asheville, NC and started acting professionally as well as making candy (unconnected), and moved to NYC for a few years (doing various things for various reasons). Now I'm a private tutor, for the most part. Everything's an adventure!

I moved to Istanbul for a semester completely alone and without knowing the language in order to open a new branch of the tutoring company I work for. That was a crazy experience.

I am an amiable, happy person with an intellectual bent. I love learning what makes people tick, and I can always share bits of geologic information or book recommendations. I'm great at book recommendations. I also make chocolate.
