Hey guys, I am Lisa and I'm currently living in Bochum, Germany. It is a rather small city next to Dortmund/Essen/Düsseldorf, but it has a lot to offer, especially in the summer :-) I am currently working at University and in my free time I am learning to play the guitar and I make Makramee jewlery. Every once in a while I start learning a new language or try to improve the ones I already started with - but so far I am only fluent in English and German (trying to change that though). I like to hang out with friends, meet new people and I like to dance - especially in the summer and outside. Another passion of mine are fleamarkets - where I sometimes sell stuff myself and often go as a visitor. Sometimes I feel a bit stuck in my place and life and that's usually the time when I go travel - often via hitchhiking, but also all other kinds of transportation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet new people here and get the chance to travel on a low budget. If you host me, I am happy to make some Makramee jewlery for you though, if you like it :-) I think of myself that I am a nice and uncomplicated visitor and also a nice host - but you would have to find that out yourself ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite author is Erich Fromm, my favorite book of him "authentic living", which I can highly recommend. At the moment, I also like to read Paulo Coelho and a lot of other authors whose names I have to look up later and add here.
I always forget the names of the movies I watched, as well as the actors and actresses. Recently, I've watched a movie called "It is all a matter of taste", which I liked, but it is not my favorite one though...
When it comes to music I can highly recommen Shkoon and I love the handpan (would like to learn it myself, but it is very expensive...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That depends on how to define amazing. I am still pretty much impressed by myself that I spontaneously climbed the Volcano Barru in Panama in my Converse Chucks at night. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to walk or continue travelling afterwards for amlost three days and had problems with my knees for another year, but in the end it was an experience which I'll never forget.

Of course I can share with you all kind of stuff that is going on in my mind. Also I am happy to share with you my self-made Makramee jewlery if you like it or I can cook an amazing vegan meal or help you renovate your apartment or stuff like that.
