ABOUT ME

Attempt nr 10: This is difficult.

I am easy going, can be a bit crazy and try to be myself in most situations. Straight-forwardness and honesty is something I try to embrace. I certainly don’t follow the law of least resistance.

I am a very creative chemical engineer that on a daily basis work with air cleaning technology (the huge plume coming out of the big stacks youknow). My home contains 40+ plants that I love and nurture. Lately I’ve revived some old interests of mine, like sailing and singing (separately or combined).

PHILOSOPHY

Constantly try to expand my horizons. Always question where you are and where you want to go. Try to look at the good things about the situation you are in (even if it is jumping on the wrong train, ending up in the wrong city missing out on your original appointments)

This community sums up what I beleive in. Meeting new people, being open minded and embracing the opportunities given by each situation you get into - that's how you develop as a person.

So many fish, so little time I guess. But if you can't come to the world, the world can come to you...

兴趣

There are many! I like to keep all doors open...I knit, sew, travel, bake, sing, bike, camp, play the piano, think, am creative, photograph, dance, party until dawn, go for a run, winter bathe, drink coffee or a cup of tea, sail, sing kareoke (especially in China), lay on the beach, take endless walks, make little boxes, visit contemporary arts exhibitions, drink beer, go to the gym, look at people, smile, recall small memories in my mind, watch the flowers grow - and mourn when I've happened to kill them....

In the movie section I have this quirky film from Iceland called “Sparrows” that I walk around wishing I could see again. For some reason it blew my mind. Have you seen it? :)

Book: Grapes of Wrath is a favourite. And the fantasy classics (yepp, you know which ones haha)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

This calls for one of many insane customs stories I’d suppose. I booked a last minute flight to Mexico, so didn’t have time to empty the fridge. Since I was arriving on the day of my friends birthday and hate food waste, I decided to just bring it all in my backpack. Unluckily enough, as I was passing customs on my way into the country, I had to unpack everything. The guards kept their stone face for quite some time, but were laughing so hard after I had nervously tried to explain to them that they were witnessing innocent pancakes, home made raspberry jam and some whipped cream from Sweden 😂.
