ABOUT ME

HELLO!

I'm Lisa & I am an energetic girl who is very outgoing & easy to talk to. I love meeting new people & experiencing new things! I am travelling to Europe for the very first time in August and the excitement is overwhelming - I cannot wait!

In my free time I love to play soccer (I have for 11 years), hang out with old friends, op-shopping and experimenting with new styles... and the feeling of finding that brilliant piece, when all your hard work pays off! Oh, and drinking tea, so drink tea with me! :D

I'm really looking forward to experiencing new cultures and understanding other ways of life, including religion. I think this is due to the fact I feel like my own life is slightly deprived of a strong culture.... perhaps I'll be able to figure out what my culture is by experiencing others.

I have a few wacky obsessions and like collecting Spiderman and other superhero stuff that I'll never use. I love a good party theme and dressing up (COSTUME PARTIES!). I am a bargain hunter and problem solver so I am always researching the best deal and solutions to problems.

I guess my personal philosophy would be to find enjoyment in everything you do and make the best of every situation. Positive Perry all the way :D

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only just been introduced to CS after my sister participated in it during her 18 months abroad in Europe. She said it was the best thing she's ever done so i'm very willing to get involved, starting in Europe this August.

Interests

Hopefully my interests will expand through my travels and new experiences. Some things I enjoy are meeting new people, playing soccer, partying, discovering new alleyway cafe's and bars, long weekends in Melbourne and beach BBQs with the crew.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing Prince live in Melbourne, hands down the best performance I've ever seen.

I have represented Tasmania in soccer and futsal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love constantly learning, so teach and share with me! I could probably share with people a bit about where I come from, Tasmania... it's a pretty unique place. Yes, the Tasmanian Devil is real :)

I just want to learn more, beyond seeing different places and social norms from afar. I look forward to my new experiences shaping who I am and showing me what I'm capable of doing. I hope this experience pushes my own personal growth, hopefully for the best.
