Overview
About Me
I'm Lisa, student of Communication and Sociology in Jena, Germany, currently spending one semester abroad at Michigan State University. Mostly optimistic with a pinch of cynicism, but always polite. Spontaneous and open-minded.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I love travelling and getting to know people from around the world, CS is the best opportunity to do so. Getting in touch with locals is the most effective and interesting way to explore a particular place, which is why I am looking forward to experience whatever there might come. If we share mutual interests I could probably spend days discussing them.
Interests
I love being outdoors and experiencing nature in all its rough glory. Protecting this beauty is one of the biggest goals I've set myself for my future life. For me, hiking is a way to think and relax. One more passion is learning itself, which is why I am eagerly absorbing every language I listen to. Being a fan of rock music I like to attend festivals in summer and spend my winters watching and editing movies and indulge in my addiction to tv shows (and btw: I really like to talk about it (: Cooking and eating are very important to me as I am very nutrition-conscious (not obsessively though). However, I would never reject a good (or bad) beer.

Music, Movies, and Books
Choosing one specific genre is quite difficult but I usually go for dramas and cinematic art. It's all about the details though. If a movie has an controversial interesting feature I will most likely love it. However, van Trier, Tarantino, Noe, Jodorowsky and Kubrick never fail to make me happy.
I mostly listen to stoner and psych rock, sometimes reggae or metal, at times German hiphop and oldschool punk - depends on mood and atmosphere. Always craving for inspiration.
At the moment I am reading Hesse.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not a particular thing I have done but a great experience was travelling to Latin America. There are hopefully many more amazing things to come.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a fairly good cook who desperately wants to learn playing the guitar or at least one instrument.
What I Can Share with Hosts
